New England Patriots reporter for Comcast Sportsnet Phil Perry joined the Red Ticket Blues podcast to talk Pats as they face their first playoff opponent this year.

We get into a little of Phil’s beginnings, as he grew up in Massachusetts rooting for all the all the New England teams in the Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox.  Now, he covers them.

Phil discusses the never ending saga that was Deflategate and how at times it could be exhausting covering it, but was it the same for the players involved?  Most importantly, how did Tom Brady deal with it on a daily basis?

We get into the challenges associated with covering the most tight-lipped team in the league. However, the tight end, Rob Gronkowski is certainly the most glaring exception

Both us break down the tale of two seasons the Patriots endured and how they will fare against the hottest team in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs.

And of course, we get Phil’s prediction for the NFL Divisional game between the Patriots and Chiefs on January 16 in Foxboro at Gillette Stadium.
