Hasheem Thabeet’s Two Greatest Moments Were Not Getting Thrown Out Of A D-League Game

hasheem thabeet , uconn, ejected, 2009, memphis grizzlieWhere have you gone, Hasheem Thabeet?

Oh, there you are.

Yesterday,  “The Tanzanian Terror”  reminded everyone he was still playing basketball by unceremoniously getting booted from a NBA Developmental Summer League game.

Since entering the league in 2009, Thabeet has been an overall disappointment that seemed to reach the precipice of sadness with his ejection.

But, let’s remember the good times. I guess.

In 2009, in a game against Pittsburgh, Panther center Dejaun Blair seemingly threw Thabeet’s 7’3″ frame over his body by Hasheem’s arm.  How could a guy in Blair’s condition with little to no cartilage in his knees accomplish this?

And back in brighter days at Storrs, sometimes you just want to dance.

Just remember this guy was drafted ahead of Stephen Curry, James Harden, Danny Green, Ricky Rubio, Demare Carroll among others.

Keep dancing, my Swahili star. Keep dancing.
