Davey Johnson Knew Alex Rodriguez Was Cheating A Long Time Ago

Long before he was skipping hand in hand with “drug dealer to minors” and texting companion Anthony Bosch, Alex Rodriguez was just your typical ball player trying to make it big.

But, then Orioles manager Davey Johnson had some suspicion that things were not what they seemed. In 1996, at the age of 20, something seemed a-rye. That bat didn’t look kosher. Johnson believed Rodriguez was cheating with a corked bat. Eventually, the umps confiscated the bat and Alex homered in the same at bat with Ken Griffey Jr.’s bat.
