Tampa Bay’s Wil Myers Wins AL Rookie Of The Year. Red Sox Fans Still Chanting His Name

hi-res-175698176_crop_northOn Monday, Tampa Bay outfielder Wil Myers became the third Rays rookie to win the coveted American League Rookie of the Year award joining Jeremy Hellickson and Evan Longoria.

Myers didn’t actually join the big league club until June 18, which should fuel some major fire  for fanboys of econd place NL Rookie of the year Yasiel Puig .  But once Myers, got to the Rays he excelled, batting .293 with 13 home runs and 53 RBI in only 88 games.

Unfortunately, his rookie campaign will have indubitably be marred by Red Sox fans incessant heckling after a fielding gaffe in the Game 1 of the ALDS.
