MNF’s Mike Tirico Gave Genuine Hype For Next Weeks Dolphins Bucs Game

Give Mike Tirico credit he did his best.

During last night’s Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, that featured the battle of the backups, ESPN’s analyst Mike Tirico looked forward to next week.

On the slate was a rousing match up between the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins, knee deep in a (sigh) “bullying” controversy.

In reality, most people outside of Florida could care less about this game, but because it’s football many will tune in.

Tirico, who I find to be the anti-ESPN by producing honest opinions and usually not jumping in line like a corporate schill, did his best to pander to the viewers on the fence. Not sure if it won anyone over.

Possibly threatening them that if they don’t tune in, MNF viewers will be left with Buccaneer games for the remainder of the season or Richie Incognito will “expletive” in your “expletive” might have been more effective.

H/T Awful Announcing
